Conyers is a city found in Georgia, United States. The city of Conyers is the only city in Rockdale County. It is a small city with a population of roughly 15000 people. Conyers City serves as the administrative center for Rockdale County. It is one of the smallest cities in Georgia, covering a total area of 11.9 square miles with only 0.1 of this area covered by water. The median age for Conyers city as per the 2010 census was 30 years. The majority of the population are between 25 and 44 years old. The majority of the population is considered middle-class with a median per capita income of 35000 dollars.
Conyers is an old city that was inhabited by natives such as the Mound Builders, the creek, and the Cherokee before the white settlers moved in after the American Revolution. The town began as a railway station named after a banker Dr. W.D Conyers who allowed the railway to pass through the area after buying the land from the first settler of Conyers, John Holcomb.
